New Marvel Legends Marvel Studios Reissues Listed On Amazon

Jay Cochran - January 05, 2024
Hasbro last month announced a new Marvel Legends Marvel Studios re-issue line that they would start offering in 2024 for folks new to collecting Marvel Legends who might have missed the figures the first time they were offered. The only thing really different about the figures from their original releases would be the packaging. The only two figures being released in this line in 2024 were said to be Iron Man Mark LXXXV and Iron Spider from the Avengers movies.

Amazon now has placeholder pages for these two figures and listed the price for them as $24.99 each. No word on when they will officially be available for purchase, but likely soon.

You know I was talking about this with a friend the other day, you know what would have been way cooler then them doing this (obviously more expensive for their budget) would have been to revisit the Fox Studios stuff, could have done a nice little program like they did in 2020 with some X-Men Movie figures, maybe even something like Nic Cage Ghost Rider, I dunno, yeah I get it they had to put stuff out for the MCU/Movie collectors, and didn't have much in the way of movies next year, had to push things back, but it wouldn't have hurt for them to you know dip into the well of the past, that wouldn't have caused any feathers ruffled from no new MCU stuff...Yeah the old X-Men films, that stuff likely would have sold, this not so sure.

This dosent make sense most of the recent marvel studio movies were not that good except Spider-Man. If they were smart they would do this same plan for people just starting to collect but instead of marvel studio or MCU figures they should be remaking older comic figures instead of old MCU figures does that not make more sense?

Agree with everyone here that they should of included the extras from the various 2 Packs that these have been released in. Iron Man could of came with a Stark head, the extra weapons/accessories, and maybe even the snap finger. Iron Spider could of came with at least the Spider Legs, though I will admit, the "Kill Mode" head(Basically Spidey Eyes in Red) would of been neat as well.

Even if they had made them each as a Deluxe Release in order to add in these accessories I think would of made them a bit more desireible, and I would of consider them.

I will say that the reason why I've yet to buy any Single Released Iron Spider's(Regardless if it's the regular version, or the version with the Gold), the Spider Legs are an important aspect of the Iron Spider Suit.

I think the quirky thing about these re-issues is that Spider-man sells. ANYTHING Spider-man always seems to sell.

Exactly, like he already have a version with the Waldos, so why not you that one and just add a new head. That's the problem with some of these re-release waves, they don't always use the best version.

If they added all that, and maybe a few more hands/small effect pieces, I wouldn't even had been mad if Hasbro charged the deluxe price.

Yeah it's the fact that they already have done better on these 2, that re-packing the least best offerings is a real head scratcher, but I guess things like less Waldoes, no extra heads, etc, really saves them money, but how much? once these land at Ross & Ollies in a year, they'd probably wish they packed these with a bit more accessories to get more bite, Like I said you can get these figures already better, and for a fine price.

See they could have done this, at least give the MCU collectors something worth maybe quad dipping for, how many times can they re-release this figure? this is what the 4th time? and this is the worst iteration, at least even at the least they could done the Waldoe version from that 2 pack, the Iron Man as well...how many times for Mark 85? 3? and this yet again isn't even the best version, I think this is the Lebowski Thor version.

they really phoned these in, it seems almost destined for pegwarming status on these two, because people have them, and nothing about these would seem to tempt people to dip again, sure new collectors might want these, but then again they could probably find these figures in some form, I know I still see the Mark 85 snap hand and Snapped Thanos pack in stores, and nobody wants the least awesome offering of Iron Spider.

hope some people are happy, because to me personally these are some of the most redundant and uninspired things we have seen as of late for Legends, just new boxes for the lowest on the totem versions of figures.

The paint apps on these do look like they may be updated from their previous release, however, I'm personally gonna pass on these. Now I think there will still be other MCU figures that will be released this year, not as much as this past year though. I can definitely see another Disney+ wave with Echo, and some What If...? characters like Kahhori, Happy Hogan's Freak, Sakaar Iron Man. There will definitely be a Deadpool 3 wave. And I am hoping for another Anniversary type wave where we can get some characters not released yet, like the long overdue Warriors Three, Lizard, Iron Man's Mark 45 (from AoU), Chitauri soldiers, Shocker, Destroyer, Abomination, Starhawk, an updated Yon-Rogg, Korath, High Evolutionary, etc...
