Hasbro's 3rd and 4th Wave Of Marvel Legends Disney+ Figures - What We Now Know

Hasbro's 3rd and 4th Wave Of Marvel Legends Disney+ Figures - What We Now Know

Jay Cochran - July 23, 2022
Yesterday during Hasbro's Marvel Legends panel at SDCC one of the figures they revealed 3 new Disney+ figures.

- What If Series Howard The Duck with Floating Head
- Loki Series He Who Remains
- Loki Series Classic Loki

During the panel Hasbro's Ryan Ting said these were part of the second wave of Disney+ figures which I believe he meant as the second wave for 2022. That will actually make it the fourth Disney+ wave overall. This should be another 7 figure wave with a Build-A-Figure.

Now we still don't know what the final figure will be in the third Disney+ Infinity Ultron BAF wave. That the wave with the following figures.

- Hawkeye Series Clint Barton
- Hawkeye Series Kate Bishop
- Moon Knight Series Moon Knight
- Moon Knight Series Mr. Knight
- Falcon And The Winter Soldier Series Sharon Carter
- Ms. Marvel Series Ms. Marvel
- Unknown (Likely She-Hulk Series She-Hulk)

All the figures in wave 3 except the unknown one are currently available for pre-order at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth.

No word on when the figures in wave 4 will be available for pre-order. Also we still don't know when the final figure in wave 3 will be revealed. Assuming it is She-Hulk, it's possible they could end up showing the figure off later this weekend after the SDCC Marvel Studios panel which takes place later today. They will be showing new footage for the Disney+ She-Hulk series during that panel.

I know Hasbro will be showing the remaining figures in the Marvel Legends Black Panther wave sometime after that Marvel Studios panel. Yesterday they showed us the two comic based figures in the Black Panther wave with Hatur Zeraze and Black Panther. They are showing the Wakanda Forever movie trailer tonight and the remaining figures in that Black Panther wave are movie based. The Black Panther wave should be going up for pre-order early next week which is why I feel pretty confident they will show off all the figures either this evening or tomorrow at SDCC.

Since new She-Hulk series footage is also being shown tonight at the Marvel Studios panel, its possible Hasbro could also reveal the She-Hulk figure (Again, assuming she is the final figure in the 3rd Disney+ wave) along with those Black Panther figures. Since I don't think She-Hulk is going up for pre-order next week, its also possible they will wait until the She-Hulk series actually premiers on Disney+ next month (August 17) to reveal the figure. We will just have to wait and see.

As for what the remaining figures in the fourth Disney+ wave are? At this time I have no additional information to share with you, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't include some more She-Hulk series characters.

One final note. I know originally the 4th wave was slated for release later this year, but with all the delays and being wave 3 isn't even out yet. I don't know if wave 4 will be delayed until 2023 or still manage to be released by end of this year.

Looks like these figures the newsest D+ wave is coming out now in Canada, so the US shouldn't be far behind.

That is why I'm not in love with the entire What If? aspect of ML. Basically, they can just pull all these random, single or seldom used characters that are virtually non-existent to the basic Marvel Mainstream and they take up space and resources that coulda/shoulda been used for long wanted characters such as the Warriors Three. Sure they have their fans and they will have there niche following but they all just exist in their own little subset of the Marvel Universe and don't really fit in any kind of display, unless the display is specifically for What If?. I dunno, I just avoid them pretty much altogether. I enjoyed the What If? comics and occasionally even a few of the Disney+ episodes but it only really just opens up a can of worms that should just be a one-off type situation, but ends up lingering way too long.

Totally agree about the What If? figures. I debated on them before eventually getting the first wave but they dont fit unless like you said, i devoted a section to just What If? In the end, I dont really care for any of them except the one I thought was the biggest waste at first: Zombie Cap.

From what theyve shown of the next What If? crop of figures I dont care much for those either. Red Skull, as far as I can tell has no designation other than the box telling me so that he is from that show. For me, Howard is a waste on every level. The Zombies are again the only potential highlight but again, the problem becomes there probably wont be enough of them. And they arent the comic Zombies so they may be even more limited. Im really hoping this experimentis done after what theyve got planned.

Looks like She-Hulk used Hawkeyes discount at the purple store.

This wave looks great. For me, every figure would be a must buy if I didnt already buy every MCU figure.

The next D+ Wave though... old boring guy cosplaying as Loki, a couple near immovable robed guys and a duck w/ a disembodied head. I mean.. Howard was in a end credit scene but HE gets a Legend? @Hogunhas a legitimate gripe.. at least even the MCU Warriors Three were in 3 movies but have no Legend representation yet. But a duck only seen in a few clips gets a .. well.. a statue but its more than some have gotten.

then the Zombies.. if Hasbro were going to go all in and give us say.. 10 or 12 Zombie versions then an argument could be made that they are a sub one within a sub line. But I fear these next two will it and then what was the point, 3 figures isnt enough to display a zombie horde.

As not a huge collector of MCU stuff (I try to stay away) most of this wave was must haves for me, She-Hulk looks amazing, Mr. Knight (can easily be a comic version), and Moon Knight are both good looking figures and I need all Moon Knights, Kate Bishop is looks real good and along with She-Hulk are for my ladies of Marvel Universe shelf, and Sharon Carter is going to get a MJ head to become my Mary Jane (fingers crossed that it works out), only figures I don't care about are Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye and the BAF, 5 individual figs out of 7 is a good wave to me.

One item I'd like to point out is that Comic She-Hulk posed next to the Disney+ She-Hulk depth charges the female double jointed argument out of the water. Not only does the single joint elbow bend as much as the double joint, but it looks many times better and more natural than that rounded looking double joint elbow. It's always been Hasbro's stance that the double joint just doesn't look good on the female figs and I've always agreed. And this is just one of many figures that support that argument.

Kate's skin tone is off. Still one of the better figures of the wave for me. Shouldn't Ultron be taller too? Anyway, Hawkeye is the highlight of this wave (even with his slightly long neck) and the one I'll definitely get. I've been asking for a Hawkeye for years and this is a great version.

Not sure what it is but in these pictures, She-Hulk's head looks too small for her body...or is it that her arms are too long....

Personally I prefer neutral heads over an expression if we get just one head.
