Hasbro Marvel Legends Live-Stream For August 2022 Coverage - Amazon Exclusive Spider-Man 5-Pack And Disney+ Wave 4

Jay Cochran - August 10, 2022
Today Hasbro is hold a new Marvel Legends Live-Stream event with new reveals and pre-order info. Look for some of the items announced today to go up for pre-order tomorrow (08/11) at 1pm ET at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth.

We will be updating this story over the course of the next hour with any new information or reveals made during the event.

Panel begins.

Ryan Ting and Dwight Stall are on the panel today.

No Haslab info today. They are starting off to recap things shown off at SDCC. Starting with Black Panther Legacy and the Wakanda Forever waves.

Now talking about the Venom Amazon exclusive 3-Pack as they continue to recap items we've already known about. No word on whether it will be listed again on Amazon since it is currently sold out.

Now going over other figures shown at SDCC including Human Fly, Razorback, and for the first time showing Molten Man and Silvermane. Ultimate Black Costume Spider-Man also shown. This is a Amazon exclusive 5-Pack going up for pre-order 8/16 at 1pm ET.

Now going over the new Disney+ figures they showed at SDCC along with the rest of the figures in that wave with Classic Loki, He Who Remains, Howard The Duck With Ant-Man Head, Zombie Iron Man, Zombie Scarlet Witch, What If Red Skull, Agent Woo and the BAF is Khonshu. This wave will be up for pre-order tomorrow at 1pm ET at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth.

Finally they showed as a teaser a head in a jar while chanting teams, teams, teams. Looks like a Moloid from Future Foundation figure.

Panel ends.

I've held out on this set waiting for the price to drop. But the longer I waited the less it has appealed to me.

I'm not sure if they'd go low enough for me to bite. Especially now that I've got a ton of Avengers anniversary to go poor with these next few months

Actually I think the Amazing Fantasy Spidey mold was supposed to replace that older Ultimate Spidey mold. That's the way it seems, anyway. They used it to make both the Franklin and Kid Omega figures when the older mold would have worked just fine. Neither one of them is know to be all that flexible.

To me it looks like this entire set was little more than grabbing a little extra cash off some of those older molds before they got phased out. Honestly, it just looks like Razorback was the only figure made with any intent and then they decided to build an entire box set around him. Fly is okay, but not essential. I want a Molten Man but not till they do it right. Ninety percent of us already did Silvermane. I honestly think they woulda got a better response if they did Razorback as a single card exclusive or even as a 2 pack with Fly. Walgreens is out of the exclusive game so maybe it's time Amazon tried the single figure route rather than always doing box sets.

Yeah, I assume it was, but having the red and blue suit on the old body and the black suit on the new body would have looked weird. They likely went with this to keep it consistent. I could definitely see both those figures updated in a few years on the AF buck though.

I don't mind them doing a set of obscure villains. If Hasbro had thrown in a different Spider-Man suit or a more known villain, I guarantee there would have been people complaining about having to buy the whole set just to get that figure. I think the set is fine personally, even though Molten Man should have used the Namor buck.

Spider-Man is based on his Ultimate version, so he wouldn't have matched the previous figures from a few years ago if he was on the new buck.

Lol. It's funny. They brought the price down and it's slowly gone up by a few dollars every day. Guess they're seeing how many they can draw in. Like they're cast fishing for customers.

Bad set. Molten Man is grossly disproportioned. The Spider-Man should have been on the new body with the butterfly joints. Full of Z-MINUS LISTERS.

I think the only other thing it could be is that you have to spend a minimum of $75. I didn't end up trying it myself because there wasn't anything that I wanted. I entered the instructions below, although it pasted in kind of small. You can click on it and it'll open bigger to be readable.

Yeah, this has to be why. Didn't see it the first time I tried. Thanks, man.
