Oh ok.. I guess I thought the comic / cartoon were the same and the game was the different style.
Thanks for the information

The one without the mouthpiece is the MVC version OR comic version. The one with the mouth is the Animated version.
Couple of things:
never understood why Iron Man would need a BFG in the first place. Isnt his Armor his gun?? Someone somewhere thought it made a cool visual, and it is cool. Just unnecessary
like the variations on unmasked Tonys we are getting through various figures. But... the Mafex one looks suspiciously like a German dictator lol
like the size comparison between Legends and Mafex. I own some JUSTICE LEAGUE Mafex figures and they dont quite fit with Legends. This IM looks very close.
Mafex has been getting a few little things right. Symbiote Spideys blue bottoms of his feet and IMs roller skates. Very nice little touches that would tip the scales for Mafex if not for the cost. Buy hey, give it 3 months, Legends will cost the same
somehow I missed that IM has 3 heads. Which armored head is the comic version and which is the video game version?
EPIC mullet.
Hasbro takes this one. Not only is the armor correct to the accessory, which is almost it's own figure itself, but it is more accurate to the game it gets it's inspiration from. MAFEX's looks cool and has a great paint job, but where the hell is that thing from.
As a matter of fact, Hasbro's actually been handing MAFEX's ayass to them quite a bit lately. Even with the recent price hike(s) the price vs. product has been much more in favor of Hasbro. Sure MAFEX has some cool accessories and mostly better paint aps, but nothing in any MAFEX ever had convinced me the product is worth the price.
Hasbro's Cannon is amazing, in size,, stand, sculpt, it only lacks a metallic paint, that's Mefex's best element the paint (it's too small), but even then it's just all silver, the Hasbro has some additional deco, Hasbro got this one. I also find it just strange that Mafex would include this cannon with that Iron Man?
Good thing the Proton Cannon is not the main reason I want this MAFEX comic Iron Man, Hasbro really showed how it's done. Not only in terms of the size, but also the sculpt, color, and the inclusion of a support stand.
While I'm relieved to see that this figure is in perfect scale with Marvel Legends, I gotta admit I'm not in a hurry to get it. Looking at it and A.I. Iron Man side-by-side and I have to say that prefer the frame of Hasbro's figure. Really the only thing Hasbro needs to do to make me stop contemplating this purchase is to make a classic Iron Manthat is pinless, has visible eyes, and comes with rollerskates.
Excellent! Well done on the comparisons. Very in depth. I do prefer the metallic sheen on the MAFEX cannon, also the "lens cover" on the chest unibeam. Good job by both companies.
