To be fair, Reese wasn't explicitly on the Nuke mold, they included the head with the Skullbuster figure and I don't remember if they implied you could put it on Nuke, but a lot of people did. I've seen other people like Robo put it on the Classified Gung Ho body, probably better scale.

And you are also right. I'm usually right on my game while placing these molds but I'm 0 for 2 today. Skullbuster was on a modified Deathlok buck, which I think is still too big for Reese and to be sure I did try the Reese head sculpt on the Punisher/Killmonger buck, but it was awkwardly large I would love for them to revisit that character as well. What would be great is if they did the whole Comic Nick Fury treatment and gave us the single buck with 3 head sculpts, but I don't think Hasbro would look at that as a positive sales idea. Of course it would be, because most of us would buy 3 of them, but I don't think Hasbro really understands the fandom as much as they act.

Either way they are lesser known characters with limited exposure so they do have a bit of leeway in regards to size accuracy. It's not as critical as the 6'4'' Silver Surfer on the Sunfire buck. Just glad they are making a distinct effort to finish out the Reavers roster. I'm crossing my fingers for a Pierce BAF.

I think that it's great that they're doing the What if...? figures. I'm sure there's market for them. IMHO they'd fit great next to a comic figure, but not the live action stuff. On the other hand, it would be so much better if they did what Black Series does with the animated properties: make them realistic.

Great point, can't believe I didn't think of the What If? stuff going into COMIC displays. Though, it doesn't hold true for every figure, for example, the T'Challa Star Lord skews waaay more animated than this Killmonger. So I guess if it doesn't bother you to add them then more power.

As a matter of fact, the Killmonger may be exactly what you wanted from a black series. This one is much more realistic.

For me, I've gotten the What if stuff so far though reluctantly. My preference would be to not but thus far it seems Hasbro is determined to keep them coming

The D+ shows have gotten some of the best representation of the Mcu. I think only Eternals can match the cast= figure rate and only because the entire wave, Store Exclusive, Deluxe were all movie based.

I may be off by 1 or 2 but there have been 32 characters from the D+ shows including BAFS and Store Exclusives. Almost forgot about Owen Wilson's odd ball Exclusive

As an MCU guy this is great news but these What If? figures are getting kinda overkill. Much like the Into the Spider-verse figures, there is just no place to display them. If Hasbro insists on figures from that show, then stick to Zombies. At least that sub line would have legs

Jeez, near $28 for a repainted figure.

Why?

By golly, you're right. I thought it was a new buck. Guess the brighter color palette caught me off guard. Either way, I do like that mold. I use the Punisher done on that mold as the base for my Jigsaw figure. Kinda looks like the puzzle piece Jigsaw that Toybiz did. I think this would be a good base for them to do Macon and Cole from the Reavers on. Of course, Reese has already been done on the Nuke mold, which is too large for that character IMO, but if and when they do those two they'll probably be done on the same mold.

Its the same figure as the one from the MBaku wave! That one came with the vibranium mask from the museum and ambulance scene.

I really wished they had replaced T'Challa with Killmonger, no offense to Shuri, and this is a good figure, there's just no spot for this in my collection. It's a figure basically based on a non-character. As is the case with most of the What If? figures. This is one I can comfortably pass on. I do like the base mold and can see it being used for some figures in the future.
