Last night during the Super Bowl we got the newest trailer for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 movie (See below) which opens in theaters on May 5th.
And with that I think it's time to start talking Marvel Legends and what we can expect from Hasbro for movie based figures. From distributor lists first leaked out to the public last year by the Youtuber Rektangular, the wave is slated to include the following figures:
No word on the Build-A-Figure for this wave but some have speculated it might be based on the High Evolutionary.
There also should be a Deluxe Groot figure coming and while we have not seen any listings for it, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't end up with some kind of store exclusive Gamora. None of this of course has yet to be confirmed by Hasbro, but now that we have the newest trailer that might soon change.
We are expecting some kind of Marvel Legends news to be made by Hasbro this week and according to the Entertainment Earth Pre-Order drop-page, it looks like their will be some kind of Marvel Legends pre-order on February 22. Whether any of that has to do with GOTG is unknown at this time.
Hasbro last week finally revealed the movie wave for Ant-Man And The Wasp Quantumania which you can pre-order from our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth. While that movie opens this weekend, the Ant-Man figures aren't due out until July. Hasbro has stated that the reason those figures will be released well after the movie is because at one time Quantumania was going to be released on July 28, 2023 and then was changed to February. Because of the fairly recent date change of the movie, Hasbro couldn't get the figures out that soon and was barley even able to have them ready for pre-order before the movie came out.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has had the May 5th release date for awhile now so I would expect the figures to be released before the movie comes out.

Seeing these figures in more pictures I actually like how these suits look, yeah way more blue then they are depicted in the movie, but they look really good IMO, I'm out on buying movie figures now, but if this was the same time last year I'd have a hard time saying no to these, Yeah Cosmo is way too big, seems way off scale you are right.
Perhaps I'll like them better in hand, because I'm still getting most of them. Compared to the movie colours though, I must say I prefer that version.
The suits are way too blue..Cosmo way too big for some reason. This wave definitely has some good things don't get me wrong, but I really wish some other things were different. Maybe the colours were the result of concept art, but what about the lack of accessories, what about Cosmo as the BAF? I shouldn't start again though.
