Turns out that Emma is really a nice figure IMO, after opening her up, I actually think the face is pretty nice, it's unique compared to her previous face sculpts, I just hate how cumbersome her big plastic slab of a cape is, she has really no arm movement so the poses are super limited up top, this figure really would have benefited from Soft goods, if they thought of the functionality of Soft Goods for Hawkeye and his Cycle, it would have been smart to implement soft goods with Emma, Kid Omega bugged me as he has no trigger finger so you actually can't really do a ton with his Gun, he kinda just awkwardly holds it, but it ultimately just falls out of his hand, and when he has it in hand he looks like he has no clue how to hold it and it wouldn't even be usable.

Are they the same arms? When this buck was reused for the Spiderman from the Amazing Friends 3 pack and the Franklin Richards 2 pack the holes were still there.
I just looked at one of the pics, those web holes are still there

Yea I'm not a fan of the character either or most characters from Morrison's run (it's quite clear the Hasbro team is not a real hurry to make any figures from Morrison's run, they haven't even made Wolverine's weird biker look)but at least the school look for Quentin would've been a unique-looking figure.
Without a BAF part this was a skippable this figure.I would've been happy to buy a Quentin figure to put in my villains shelf but this particular one is going in the bin.
I also used to think that shorts, sports jacket look was bad back when New X-Men was coming out (I also hate kid characters in movies LOL). That said this black/pink look is just lazy.
They could've at least come out with a better looking headsculpt, instead of whatever this is.

Anyways I know why they went with this look because it's the cheaper version to make as opposed to the shorts, sports jacket look. But at least that would've looked better.
Funny you would think the shorts and jacket look would be the better one. I don't know much about that character, but what I know I don't like. Anyway, this figure is clearly a cost-saving figure.
They probably could have kitbashed boxer short Deadpool with the Hood's torso and jacket and come up with his goofy prep school look, or whatever it is. As it is, this figure will probably become custom fodder for most collectors.
And I hate characters with "Kid" in their names.

And it doesn't have to be that way. I've cut back drastically on Legends purchases because they just don't put in the work and quality to justify my dollars.
That Spiral is about as perfect as could be. They should take a bow for that. And they didn't even try to do the overpriced "deluxe" thing with it. Seriously, I wanna shake their hands here. But then we have Ch'od. Even as a re-used and older figure, just a bit of a wash or darker paint here or there, would've improved the figure immensely.

I want to see the same effort and love and attention to detail given to every single character, and not just the A-Listers, because that's what I would do were I making these.
Well I know i'm not the only one to notice, but all three of the last comic based BAF's have been repaints. Of course, the MCU/Disney+ waves that do get BAF's all get new sculpts, but even the GOTG wave got an undersized one. I think the days of the BAF being a highlight of a wave are long gone. I'm guessing any "larger" character needing a new sculpt that comes out from this point will get the Blob, Mojo, MODOK treatment as Deluxe figures at around $50 a pop. Is it good or bad? Guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. Maybe it means that all figures in a wave will have to sell themselves and we get no more lazy, phoned-in, kitbash, repaints, but I won't hold my breath. For me, I'm at least glad I may no longer be compelled to purchase figures I don't want so I can build a BAF I do want. I dunno, I guess we just gotta wait and see, but I think I can see the writing on the wall.

the whole wave is a must get for me. There really isn't a bad figure in the bunch.
