I still really like this figure, cant wait to have him in hand!
This looks like an amazing figure from Select. Sometimes I really wished they'd fit in scale with Legends! That's the only thing stopping me!
I don't know what changed in my perception but now that Cap looks so much better than the initial promo, his weird promotions somehow work because they do seem to invoke a comic book style more, true power of good photography, if only they posted these pics first then the initially impression (and preorder numbers) would have been different.
Shown below via RobDToys is an in-hand look at the new Marvel Select Captain America (Classic) Figure from Diamond Select. You can purchase this figure from our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth with suggested retail price of $27.99.
Not usually a big Diamond Select guy but this one is looking great! I'd be in a bigger hurry to preorder if they scaled with marvel legends but unfortunately, space is already a bit limited. It isn't always easy collecting on a budget! You can definitely see the work they put into this and I'm sure this will be a great offering for all the Diamond Select collectors out there.
Seeing the in hand pix make me want it more. I think it looks good now I need to figure out if I need more than one.

The proportions and sculpture do seem like a throwback to the ToyBiz wave 1 Cap.--but it seems to me like both ML and Select have been showing slightly softer sculpts over the past while.

I'm not that impressed with this offering from Diamond, they have been knocking it out of the park lately, but this seems like a step backwards, this definitely has odd proportions, and a small head, the articulation seems weird, this has more of a Toybiz vibe then a 2023 DST figure to me, it is cool they gave him the old style shield though, and clearly 2 heads, a cellshaded one and a regular one.
Proportions look off to me too. I get ol' skool Toybiz Cap vibes from this. I am selfishly hoping that those shields are undersized so I can use them with legends though!
