Hasbro earlier this week revealed the
3rd Marvel Legends VHS Packaging 2-Pack with figures based on the
90's Spider-Man Animated Series with
Mary Jane And
Green Goblin. According to
Dan Yun we can expect this 2-pack to go up for pre-order sometime next month in
May.
These sets are being sold as
HasbroPulse exclusives with the first two sets in the line already available on the site. Those sets include
Black Costume Spider-Man Vs. Carnage and
Aunt May Vs. Doc Ock who has bendy wire for the tentacles.
Dan Yun has already confirmed there will be more of these
Spider-Man: Animated Series 2-packs being released on
HasbroPulse throughout the year beyond these three sets. It's unknown which characters they will do but being they seem to favor civilian characters in the line, a
Peter Parker figure seems like a good bet, maybe with a animated series version of
Hobgoblin.
Hasbro has also released some single carded versions of figures based on the series such as
Spider-Man (Red And Blue),
Venom,
Lizard and
Kraven The Hunter which is currently available as a
Walmart exclusive.
If there is a unique character
Hasbro could do from the
Animated Series that fans would love to see, I think it would be a
Alistair Smythe figure, maybe in his
Ultimate Slayer form. I guess only time will tell if we get that one or not.
