I was very surprised they didn't have that hinged faceplate. Its puzzling, as lowering it activates one of his most destructive features.
So glad to have this Masterson version of Thor. He is from a other favorite era of the Avengers so huge win for my collection.
Still baffling that this bearded head wasn't included with the 80th anniversary figure. Especially since Cap and Iron Man got 2nd heads and those were barely distinguishable from one to the next. I'd have been bummed if I had to finally get that extra head in a 2 pack if this awesome Destroyer wasn't the other figure. This was a must buy the second I saw them previewed

Well, there was the Walt Simonson era "Thor Destroyer", remember him? Thor was inside after Hela cursed him to live forever, but his body was basically jelly after his battle with the Midgard Serpent. He wore Thor's cape, had thor's helmet wings on his head and carried Mjolnir. So here's hoping we could get an alternate head with opening faceplate then... and maybe some cool disintegration effect. Ya gotta dream, lol!

Good to know, I hope to do that this weekend. And I'm still holding a spot open for Air Walker!

Man, I really love this Destroyer figure. Its beautiful and the size and scale are perfect with my Thor shelf marvel legends. I have the MS Destroyer and will probably keep it and add him to my Galactus and his heralds display. Both are very nice and its long overdue we get the Destroyer. Its been so many years since Toybiz gave us their interpretation. And the bearded head for Masterson I have put on my 80th Anniversary Thor figure, looks great!
This just serves as a reminder to myself that I hate that Thunderstrike head, stupid open mouth yelling thing, and it looks bad, If only they would have given us a neutral head as well, because I love Thunderstrike, and the figure is done nicely just that face is horrid, super glad we got this figure for Eric, but I still would love a less stupid looking Thunderstrike. This two pack was excellent, and I couldn't be happier with it, both look great, but that Destroyer is a real sweet fig, Before they announced this 2 pack I was also going to grab the Select Destroyer, I'm glad I waited for this, because it's two really sharp figures.
