And not just staple characters either. Whirlwind, Mr. Hyde, Nighthawk, Quasar...all need updates and probably will get done soon. As collectors, we need to vote with our wallets and keep that in mind.
Yes, I thought about it for a while and came to the same conclusion. I'm thinking there's likely a plan that Sersi and other Eternals will all eventually make their way into the line in their more classic looks. Especially now that Marvel is trying to push them as one of the Big Three with X-Men and Avengers. Poor Inhumans. It looks like their seat at the top was destined to be short. Worse they're even losing some of their more notable ranks to the X-Men. I just hope they get the Eternals done soon before Marvel and Disney inevitably lose faith in their ability to be a viable faction. From what I've seen a lot of people seem to care even less about the Eternals than they did the Inhumans. In the comics at least.

Well said and that's the bottom line: suggestions and complaints have their toll (the old Hyperion buck has just about vanished for example), but ultimatelynothing impacts their decisions more than profit, or lack thereof.

Not the same but it's something that can be used for Black Knight's energy sword. It's what most of the customizers used previously. I think a Taskmaster figure came with that Stealth Iron Man sword too. If you pre-ordered that Deadpool SDCC '23 two pack, that has two energy swords that I think are the same as this Black Knight release that you can also us.

Lol. Right? I didn't see it before but I can't unsee it now. Totally Gale Weathers.

Are those new fire effects?
I passed because Im not an Avengers guy, but if I was, I think Id be happy with this set. The face sculls are just great.
I know people sometimes get disappointed with the mold reuse, and I get the desire for accuracy. It doesnt bother me though. I dont know how you guys keep track of that.

Compared to the art of that Avengers 357 cover, I'd think this Sersi was a significant improvement.
I love Black Knight, so I got this pack even though I don't really like the rolled sleeves jacket Era of the Avengers. Sersi is really high on my list of needed team members as well. Again, I didn't love the look. I want the green outfit that she wore the majority of her tenure. I don't hate the set, but I am not enamored with it either. I kinda got it as a way to ensure we get the corrected Sersi. If this didn't sell well, I figured I would be waiting forever. Not sure it actually works that way, but hey...at least I have a Sersi of some sort to put on the Avengers shelf lol!

Makes sense, as its supposed to look like the same person. Using the Shang-Chi mold for Firelord, however, does not make sense, as Firelord is a much bigger, taller character. The mold they used for Sersi likewise does not fit her as it is far too skinny, and they have better molds to choose from.
Think about it like this: when they started this whole thing, Wolverine figure was the same as any other; customer feedback got them to make him shorter, as he's supposed to be. People voiced a demand for double jointed elbows for the female figs since the make figs had them. Took a while but eventually that change was made too. More attention to detail and accuracy, just goes a longer way.

But they will continue to use it as long as we let them get away with it and keep buying it. I think it's just a general approach to the way they do most of the exclusives. Find the cheapest or easiest way and then if they don't think they can fly it they might take a better route. In this case the final result was the former rather than the latter. I still bought the sang thing too. Maybe we'll never see another comic Sersi again.
