Marvel Knights Marvel Legends Luke Cage (Power Man) (Mindless One Build-A-Figure) Video Review And Images

I've never been a stickler on heights/scale, normally the thing that makes or breaks a character for me is articulation.

That being said there have been a few cases when they made a character too small and absolutely ruined the figure. Notably The Neo-Classic Iron Man and The First Avenger Cap. $#!++% articulation also helped ruin those two.

Another reason why height isn't always a deal breaker for me is how I perceive these characters. In MY mind, I've never thought of Luke being as tall as Thor. But after a quick search, he sure is. But for years I've perceived him as normal (6') height. I've also perceived Storms costume as black and Luke's pants as blue, despite colorists intentions.

This has been reflected in my collection as well. I got the black suit Storm and despite both Toybiz and Hasbro making his pants black, I'll be first in line to get the blue pants when they "correct" him. That is "my" version of Luke.

This current figures articulation isn't the best but I do like this guy. I wouldn't say no to an ab crunch but I don't need a boot cut. I know my legs don't move that way so have never been a fan of that bizarre place for movement.

I suspect they will make a 2-pack of this duo eventually. Cage with blue bottoms will need to go somewhere either that or a retro card.

Despite all of the downfalls, and people generally hating on this figure, I like this one, I don't pose my figures on the shelf, if he looks good in a vanilla pose I'm stoked, and this IMO does, this figure is so much better then the previous one, which I was fine with until I saw this, it's looking extremely outdated, I'm happy with this one, we just really need a new Iron Fist, this should have been a Heroes for Hire 2 Pack, Hasbro gonna Hasbro and keep us waiting on a new Danny.

That would be pretty upsetting if they did a simple repaint on this exact same figure. Nice looking figure with some really bad design decisions. Again, does the Legends team even understand the fanbase anymore? His height is an issue but I think that can be written off as his classic look was somewhat smaller than modern day. I hope they don't reuse this model when it comes time to update the modern figure. I hope they at least use the Unworthy Thor or the Hercules body. He should be around the same size as those guys.
