As said above RDJ head is great but way too oversized but I'm surprised how shiny and metallic red is on the figure, I think Hasbro finally nailed the process of making marbleised plastic look kinda sorta metallic but I doubt they can repeat it.This figure would have benefited from new Helmet sculpt because this old one looks pretty weird and small if you compare it to movie.

Can't really say I'm disappointed about the oversized head. I mean, it is annoying, but it's par for the course when it comes to Hasbro and Iron Man. At this point I pretty much just ignore that Iron Man figures come with unmasked heads.

What I'm really here for is that sweet deep cherry red finish.

I agree with JohnF. I've always felt that RDJ head sculpts were too big to fit inside the helmeted head. I always thought that it must squeeze the heck out of him! As far as resizing the RDJ head, they already have the mold. I just wonder how expensive it would be for Hasbro to tweak it to a smaller size. Maybe it's not worth it to them, or they'll save the ultimate RDJ headsculpt for the 20th anniversary of Civil War?

Reducing the size of the casting means reducing the size of the tooling--the mold itself---which is essentially remaking the mold all over again. The toolings are often large multi- cavity metal molds--anywhere from suitcase -size to table-top size. A single part, like a head might be part of a tool that holds ALL the parts for that figure, or might be part of set creating multiple castings at a single time. Changing one single part might be too prohibitive a cost because it might affect the whole mold.

Head sculpt on this is outstanding. Love the deeper red as well.

When it comes to reuse, I've wondered before if rescaling a headsculpt or any part of a figure is possible...This Tony head is a masterpiece, but it's bigger than it should be, so would they be able to just rescale it instead of creating a new one? Just wondering...
