Hot Toys Teases New X-Men Figures Through Hono Studios

Jay Cochran - December 07, 2023
Hot Toys today released a teaser for what appears to be some kind of new X-Men based figure line they will be doing through Hono Studio. The figure they teased was of Wolverine which is said to be a 1/6 scale figure.

So what exactly is Hono Studio? Well according to their Instagram account this is how they describe it:

Exploring playful collectibles with boundless possibilities, Hot Toys presents HONŌ STUDIO, a collective of distinct artists from the toy scene and the entertainment industry worldwide. The team embraces a daring and unconventional spirit that seamlessly transitions between welcoming new collectors and engaging in collaborations with labels from diverse disciplines, creating innovative interpretations of characters from pop culture to celebrate their timeless appeal.

It's hard to determine exactly what that all means though possibly a way for Hot Toys to start offering figures at lower price points? More detail on this will be made available tomorrow (12/8), so we will be sure to update you here when that happens.

Figure looks great, but the claws are really coming in there too long. Wonder how many times you can bend the seamless arms before the skin breaks or degrades? IMPRESSIVE WORK!!

Even though they are two different entities and materials (maybe), I own the Tbleague 1/12 figure (one of my favorite figures ) and it has that rubberized body completely. After owning it for about 5 years it has held up to has not degraded nor does it have skin breaks and I have posed tf out of it. I will say though I do refrain from leaving it in an action pose because I'm afraid of the skin breaking.

Hot Toys at a more collector friendly price you say...., if that's the case oh no...I might be moving on to Hot Toys, even better if they are less ultra realistic and more comic centric, This looks to be very Mezco 1:12 in it's design, wonder if that's sorta what's going on, high end collector figures but without some of the highly fined tuned details they generally offer with their standard releases, anywhoos this looks pretty great, although the picture is fairly blurry,.
