Hasbro today is holding another Fan-Stream, this time with the Marvel Legends brand team. They will be recaping the second wave of X-Men 97 figures that debuted yesterday which includes Magento, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Goblin Queen and X-Cutioner. These will be going up for pre-order at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth in early 2024.
I also suspect we will be getting more details today on the X-Men Lilandra figure that Hasbro showed us in November. We do expect at lease one Marvel Legends item to go up for pre-order tomorrow (12/15) at 1pm ET.
Panel begins.
Talking about their Pulse Fan-Poll Red Widow figure showing it off.
New for 2024, Marvel Studios figures being offered to people new to the line with new packaging. So mostly reissued figures. First one shown is the Iron Man Mark 85 Endgame figure. Infinity War Iron Spider-Man. These are the only two in the line being offered in 2024.
Retailer exclusives with no pre-order dates: Comic Sam Wilson Captain America with wings and unique shield. This is a Spring 2024 Target exclusive. Comic Hail Hydra Captain America with new shield. This will be released as a Walmart exclusive in the spring.
Now going over the new X-Men 97 wave 2 figures. Magento, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Goblin Queen and X-Cutioner. Jean is new sculpt and cyclops has the straps keyed in so they won't move on the figure. The Goblin Queen is based on the look she will have in the new X-Men animated series.
2024 is the 50th Anniversary of Wolverine. They are doing four 2pks each anchored with a Wolverine figure. These are going to be released as fan-channel exclusives along with Amazon. Brood Wolverine with Lilandra, Cowboy Logan with bigger Jim Lee Sabretooth, Lady Psylocke and Ninja Black Costume Wolverine, Patch and Joe Fixit in tuxedo's. Brood Wolverine with Lilandra, Cowboy Logan with bigger Jim Lee Sabretooth will go up for pre-order tomorrow (12/15) at 1pm ET at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth.
Now going over their draft picks for 2023.
Final reveal is of Warren Worthington as Angel. It uses the Vulcan base.
They also teases a fire accessory as a teaser for a future figure. They also used the word Otherworld to describe it.
Looking at the Wolverine/Lilandra 2-pack really has me hoping they release an updated yellow and brown Wolverine. I'm not usually an in-box collector but I regret missing out on the retro carded Wolverine they came out with a few years back. I really can't see them not redoing this figure given the focus they've put on Wolverine so consider my fingers crossed.
I like the Lilandra in this set a lot, but for some odd reason I think that the Brood-Wolverine in this set seems.......somewhat held back. I don't recall exactly what his brood-morphing looked all like, but my brain thinks his anatomy should maybe be more....distorted.
Shown below via sb_toyz are in-hand images for the new Marvel Legends Wolverine 50th Anniversary Brood Wolverine And Shiar Lilandra 2-Pack from Hasbro. You can purchase this set from our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth with a suggested retail price of $49.99.
Lol. I've tried as well. I guess it should have been easy enough for Hasbro to make them compatible as they said many times straight out that the Vulcan was the Bucky Cap replacement but why would they make it that easy for us to switch out a head sculpt and make a good enough head swapped character when they can have us buy an entirely new figure to get that updated model. Sad thing is I can't really disagree with their logic from a business standpoint.
Im disappointed because I wanted to swap the custom head from my old Buckycap Cyclops on to the new one.
It will be neat to see if the Archangel wings and head work on this figure. I think he occasionally wore this costume as Archangel. Or the blue one.

I doubt the head. I've tried putting other Buckycap heads on Vulcan bodies and they sit a little too high. You might get away with it for photos at certain angles but that is probably it sadly.
