Alan Davis would do a great Mantis (no, she's not my favorite but I think of her as a good keystone for part of that era). Still, I'm looking forward to this series. Just hope they make it as self-contained as possible. Yeah I don't want this to be like that .1 story Waid did with the Kooky Quartet which was a led on to a story in his main book

My only slight nitpick is whenever Marvel attempts to turn back the clock the story ends up with too many elements of todays writing style which in my opinion cant hold a candle to the writers of the 70s and 80s. that being said, Im hoping for a fun return to the Avengers hay day PS: getting Alan Davis is win/win Truth. They also try to explain some of the more problematic elements of past stories (Wasp marrying Yellowjacket while he was having a psychotic breakdown, not to mention that odius Ms. Marvel/Marcus thing) and just make them even more convoluted. So let's hope they steer clear of that and just write a nice, self-contained story that doesnt interfere with canon. Alan Davis is incredible. His Excalibur is unmatched and his run way back when on Detective Comics' Batman is legendary.

I'm down! Its like seeing good, good old friends. Only thing that could be better would be the 70s-80s era with the Vision. But I'm down!! ADour - 2022-09-16 @ 9:42 pm
Sounds like fun. I'm not familiar with Levitz's work, but I do know for sure that anything drawn by Alan Davis is a treat.
