Werewolf By Night And Elsa Bloodstone Form An Unholy Alliance In Werewolf By Night #1

Werewolf By Night And Elsa Bloodstone Form An Unholy Alliance In Werewolf By Night #1

Jay Cochran - June 21, 2023
Jack Russell, the original Werewolf by Night, is back with another howling adventure! The tormented Marvel hero gripped fan’s imaginations in last year’s acclaimed Marvel Studios' Werewolf By Night on Disney+, and now the moon rises on his next comic saga just in time for the Halloween season! Written by Derek Landy and drawn by Fran Galán, WEREWOLF BY NIGHT #1 will be an oversized one-shot that reunites the character with Elsa Bloodstone. Certain sections of this stylish supernatural epic will be presented in black and white, reflecting the pair’s conflicting moods and unique hunting techniques.

In the shadows of black-and-white night, Jack Russell races to halt the sacrifice of a young girl at the hands of monsters. Elsa Bloodstone, in all her colorful monster-hunting glory, isn’t far behind. But can they put their differences aside long enough to save the day? And what would such a partnership even look like?

Check out the cover below and gather around for Werewolf by Night’s latest hair-raising tale this September.

Hey I'm one of the few who really wanted to see that storyline succeed...but the whole pony-tail werewolf and cyborg animal thing just ruined it for me....try as I might I couldn't get thru the first issue.

I'm also ok with the MCU (Special) synergy of Elsa. Just for the love of God write a good story. Marvel has destroyed the Black Knight allowing any fool to take the reigns so here's hoping they show some restraint here.

I have no problem hitting these guys when they have it coming. But I do truly believe they do insanely good work when they choose to, and I think they could do a stellar job with their monsters. They can pull out all the stops - I'm talking manacles and chains and tombstones and coffins. And to quote Jurassic Park "and people will pay it", because the quality will be there. The beauty of the Marvel monsters is you don't have to be a strictly Marvel fan to enjoy these. If hasbo put their mind to it they can decimate anything Jada or Neca have done with the Universal monsters.

I've been on the forum for years yammering on about a Marvel Monsters box set. I still say, if hasbo brings its A game (mostly all new molds, different heads, maybe some soft goods for Dracula's cape and the Mummy's wrappings) to such a set, they will have a winner that could live up to the "Legends" name. They are just leaving money on the table by not doing these creatures. Oh, and any Werewolf they do, they MUST do the classic Jack Russel first.

Ditto, feels like a zillion years of yammering about can we get a new Monsters Box set, Hasbro isn't listening, at least there is no evidence they are, they can't even get a random dracula in a wave or Jack, guess we gotta keep blabbing on about it, they can give us a Shiklah but can't even get us not 1 monster, or for that matter a deluxe re-release of Man-thing, come on Hasbro.
