Spider-Man Declares War Against His Greatest Supervillains In Gang War

Announced at San Diego Comic-Con, GANG WAR, the next Marvel Comics crossover epic, kicks off this November! Spinning out of Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr.’s hit run of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, GANG WAR will see a war declared between the gang lords of New York City, causing chaos throughout the Big Apple. As villains fight villains and crime envelops the city, Peter Parker will launches his own war! It’s General Spidey at the helm, leading a group of heroes that includes fellow Spider-Man Miles Morales, She-Hulk, Daredevil, and Spider-Woman. Their goal: take down the super-gangs in under 48 hours. But what does Mayor Luke Cage and the city's strong anti-vigilante laws have to say about it? Will Mary Jane, AKA Jackpot, gamble on getting involved? And is Shang-Chi a friend or foe?

Starting in November, prepare for the war with special prelude issues under the banner of GANG WAR: FIRST STRIKE! Then, the event officially begins in December’s AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #39 before tying into some of your favorite series and launching all-new titles!

Ooooooooo...almost. Cool cast. Like the concept. But you lost me me at Zeb Wells. I know he's only writing one of the books but somehow the IP Killer always finds a way to do what he do.

it ain't a minor connect any more mate. not for a long time. She has been involved with Spidey's storyline practicely ever since she was brought back in New Avengers.

Gotta love how they shoehorn in Jessica into these Spider-Events when the connection is minor at best. Even if this premise is slightly interesting it's Zeb Wells so we all know it's gonna be awful editorial character assassination

I'm old enough to remember the Saturday morning cartoon with this suit. I've always been a fan.

The cartoon was a bit before my time but as a fan of nostalgia and classic Marvel I have seen it. This original version is the version of Jessica Drew that I've always know and is indeed iconic. The constant redesigns of many of these characters are little more than some of these artist self indulgence and lack of self control and over confidence in their creative abilities. I keep coming back to that ridiculous so called redesign of Captain Marvel's costume and just have to SMH. Most of the time simplicity makes the most sense. When movement and agility is the key layers upon layers and chains and belts just don't make sense. In my line of work if some of the instructors came in with style over functionality looking like they stepped off a runway they would be laughed out of the room. You can still have style while being minimalistic and this costume does that and always will.

Nice, while I never collected her earlier solo series I've always enjoyed her suit and Spider-Woman as a character.

Also glad to see her in her classic suit. In my opinion, every suit but this one missed the mark.
