And even their promotional ads don't make sense. If they're targeting new readers, a "fresher" audience, etc. then New Spirit means nothing to them, as they don't know about the previous Ghost Riders. "New" spirit would only have meaning to the older fans, and they don't need 2 kazillion versions of the same thing. Of course, the old saying still stands, "you shouldn't judge a book by its cover". But we've seen this lame schtick of theirs before, we know how it ends. If Marvel is so concerned about falling sales, then they need to start listening to that older base.

Not a giant Ghost Rider fan, but I suspect there's more of Johnny Blaze, and even Ketch, to tell instead of making new versions (which tend not to be as good) of the same thing. I'd explore there first.

Yes my friend I'm afraid that is the way industry wide. Like I've said many times there is no creativity in comics anymore. Anyone with average to good talent is already working in Movies and TV. I used to think it was hyperbole when people would say these writers work for pennies or nothing at all but after I looked into it's completely true in some cases. They either work and get paid by the page. Which are getting fewer and fewer or they don't get paid and work for a percentage of the the sales. Which are also fewer and fewer. Many of them are just rich kids working for free so they can just say they write for comics. Like that's anything impressive anymore. And I was a massive GR fan.

Not this garbage again...Been there, done that, several times, goodbye, there goes another one from the pull list.

I bet it's the brother of the guy who replaced Marc Spectre as Moon Knight. Who is that guy's sister who relaced Steven Strange as Dr. Strange.

Ah Marvel, you have become so repetitive and predictable. By the time you want fans to think it's a big deal that Johhny Blaze or Marc Spectre are returning as the one true version we have to sit through the return of the last guy you replaced them with.

I hung on for years of Marvel's terrible writing amd expirements out of some feeling of loyalty. But if they want to continue to $#!+ all over their characters go for it. Glad I got out when I did

I really wish that we'd see more creativity with creating completely new characters and power sets rather than re-hashing the same ones for new individuals to take on the same alter ego. I also understand that after decades that the well has pretty much been emptied, though... Passing the mantle to a new person has just always struck me as lame. I only want one Ghost Rider, one Punisher, one Spider-Man, one Captain America, one Venom, etc. Please create something new rather than passing on a mantle to someone new!
