“I would say to those people, we’ve done that. Let’s take the things that really worked, but can we broaden? Can we appeal to a slightly younger audience without losing what we’ve learned about what works?”

As for people hoping this new series will just be a continuation of the netflix one...I would say to those people, weve done that. Lets take the things that really worked, but can we broaden? Not sure why Cox or anyone thinks this "slightly younger audience" hasn't already seen (or doesn't have access to see) the Netflix series. The response about appealing to a younger set therefore, doesn't really make sense. A D+ Daredevil can be just as action-packed and well written as the Netflix production was. Besides it wasn't "gory" anyway. Dark, intense at times, sure. But that's the character. Stick with what works. That's what made the series great, that's what people are expecting to see.
Oh, and make sure to bring back Deborah Ann Woll!
None of this is unexpected, I wouldn't see why this show would be ultra violent, they gotta draw the line, it is Disney/Marvel, sure though they can up the blood and violence a bit, they did a decent job with Werewolf By Night, of course we did get a ton of extra abrasiveness on the Netflix shows but that was almost out of the source material's character.
I just really don't want the Netflix shows story to be taken out of Canon, we have the same actor playing DD, the story should still exist. there is still no outright confirmation of it is so.
Did you guys read the comics and expect a total bloodbath in Daredevil, Moon Knight, or even Deadpool? Its such a weird complaint to complain about lack of gore when the source material isnt gory
It's the Disney+ effect, it's a "family" platform so everything has to be tone down. I'm afraid of the fate of Deadpool.
I don't have as much hope for Marvel as I used to have, creatively Marvel is pretty boring as of now but I guess you gotta hit low until you hit high, so my bet is it's gonna be something in between Netflix Daredevil and Hawkeye series.

Just to be clear, Cox said
Being a darker kind of show is good news, but I don't know how much to believe them. They claimed Moon Knight would be a brutal and violent show, but it wasn't really brutal to me. Violent yes and at the same time not so much.. I don't know maybe it's just me, but when I hear certain words, I expect certain things.
