I didn't realize you could switch between MK I and MK II...neat! How does it work though? Looks like new shoulder pads and chest armour? Hope it all attaches securely!

marvel-select-war-machine-revealed-from-Based on this picture from Shartimus' reveal, we can be certain the shoulder pads are pegged into the upper arms. The lack of pegholes in the upper torso makes me think the chestplates might be either a two-piece snap-on overlay (maybe with pegholes in the back for extra support?), or a one-piece overlay that you slip into the figure from above by removing the head. I think the belt is going to be similar to the one from their new Captain America, which is a soft piece that you wrap around the waist and peg into itself on the back.

For once ML did it first. And did it better IMO. The face sculpt is very good though. But it does give the look that his head is too large to fit in that helmet comfortably.

Diamond has been really doing some great work in these last few years, I gotta appreciate the game upgrade, they have been doing things that rival Hasbro, I love what they are doing here, a good bunch of accessories and awesome sculpt, but I don't see a need for this myself I still do think Hasbro did a really nice Job on the comic Rhodey we got, I'm fine with that, but go DST on this one.

I love that they didn't limit themselves to just the chestplate, which is the most recognizable difference between the two versions of the War Machine Armor (the MK 1 worn by Tony Stark and the MK 2 worn by Rhodey).

They really went the extra mile by including interchangeable shoulder pads and belt. Even the little cable on the left arm! Wonder if they'll throw in a different shoulder gun for the Tony version. I would also love an alternate unmasked head with Tony's face.

On a side note, man. Would it really taken Shartimus too much effort to do a second take of this reveal after having to walk back on his observation about the lack of unibeam? Feels a bit unprofessional.

This looks pretty awesome! I imagine it will be similar articulation to Silver Centurion Iron Man cant wait to preorder this might want a second one to display both Mark I and Mark II options!

MeGrimlock78 - 2024-03-20 @ 11:33 am

Sure, he looks nice, but we need to see some better pics. From these, it looks like he has the articulation of a 1980's Kenner figure.

This looks absolutely stunning, to see what we are getting here for 30 is awesome. Diamond select really has been delivering.
