Hasbro does a similar thing with Transformers. In the fervor to create cartoon-accurate decos, rather than actually watching the show, designers will sometimes just google an image. And there are images out there that look like the cartoon, but are not, and are coloured "wrong." Though there were many wrong colourings in the show itself too...

Did they? I don't recall the SP//dr Wave Daredevil being promoted as a Shadowland release, at least not in the packaging.
