If you weren't implying the last +10 years of Daredevil weren't beyond appalling and damaging you wouldn't have suggested that some of his classic creators would've "bowed out after seeing what's been done to the character." It doesn't feel like you're alluding to just "some of the things." As if anything else would cause something like that. I think the plausible deniability of "I didn't say those exact words verbatim" is better suited for a court (heh, speaking of Daredevil...)

So after years of getting smacked around by average street thugs he's back to fighting demons and taking out entire gangs and even pre-neutered Punisher shows up again. I hear in #7 he's back to being good enough to take on Wolverine again. Not that I'm not happy to hear it but where has this DD been for like the last 10 years? I guess all those years of soul-searching just didn't sell the books like they expected them to.

I mean, Romita has been doing covers. And I don't think Mazzuchelli does comics anymore, so I don't feel that's the case. I think Marvel just didn't wanna pay for A-List artists.

Yeah, I mean, personally I didn't care for those runs, but I would not classify them as "horrible stuff" either.

I just feel Marvel didn't try this time...or even don't try when it comes to anniversary specials. "Should we hire [insert A-list artist here] to draw this anniversary special?"

"Nah, the Anniversary hoopla will sell the issue regardless of who's drawing it!"

I expected more legendary artists in the tales. Romita Jr, Mazzuchelli, even Weeks or McDaniel. Kinda disappointing.
